| Equality of Opportunity:
Statement of Intent |
The Citizen's
Income Trust recognises that people are discriminated against on
the grounds of their colour, ethnic origin, nationality, age, gender,
marital status, religion, sexual orientation, disability or health
status and in other ways
|
|
As an organisation we
are committed to equal opportunities for all and to the development
of a positive policy to combat discrimination and promote:
- Equal Access;
- Equal Chance; and
- Equal Share.
These values hold for all aspects of our employment practice,
recruitment and selection, opportunities for volunteers, decision-making
structures, communication, research and development structures.
In recognition that discrimination is a major cause of hopelessness,
the Citizen's Income Trust will strive to ensure that there is
no discrimination regarding access to and provision of our services.
In accordance with our obligations under the relevant legislative
acts, our equality of opportunity policy and practice will be
continually monitored and evaluated in order to assume effectiveness.
